team at Seattle Promotional Management
Executive Management Team
Nine years experience in Promotional Marketing and Management Development.
I moved to the United States from England in 2008 on a soccer scholarship to Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. After completing my studies in three and a half years, I moved to California to start my profession in promotional marketing and management. I graduated with a B.S. Communications, Emp. in Sports Marketing in 2011.
When people ask me how I got to where I am currently, it simply comes down to understanding my market value at each phase of my career thus far. When I graduated from college, like many millions of others, I simply realized my market value was extremely small. I wasn’t worth much more than my peers as I had nothing to really distinguish myself from others and I was in the mix with millions, driving down my value. However, I knew I wanted to take steps in order to change that.
When I started my training, I did so because it offered growth. I didn’t take the job because I loved sales. It was not my dream to do that type of work. What I loved was that there was training into upward momentum that I controlled simply by following my training and doing the job without making excuses. It was a position where I had control of my future, my future that upon graduating from University made me very weary.
I also understood early on, even before coming to America, that anything really worth doing is going to get difficult at some point. It’s what you do in that moment that will ultimately determine where you go moving onward – forwards or backwards. The average person quits difficult things, constantly staying stagnate and constantly complaining about it. That was not going to be me.
Being true to form, this job is very difficult and the bigger you get, the more responsibility you have. However so do the rewards. I saw success early but it was short lived like most things that seem too good to be true. I grew quickly but without a solid foundation so when things started to unravel, it came crashing down. On analysis, I figured out what I needed to fix and do differently so next time around, I wouldn’t make the same mistakes again. I could have quit but I’m so glad I didn’t.
With Seattle Promotional Management’s launch in 2018, 2019 was a great year to set an amazing pace. We managed to expand twice within 15 months of opening and now have the foundation to do even more in 2020. As retail continue to feels the pinch of the e-commerce, certain clients have never been more inclined towards representation in the physical retail space. The business world is run on supply and demand and we find ourselves in a very unique space where we are willing to do the job that others are not. This is what separates us from the competition and makes us a valuable part of the clients marketing strategy to help drive their results forward which is 2019 totaled to over $4 million. 2020 is already shaping up to be more successful as we target $5 million in revenue generated for our portfolio.
Director of Sales Development
I graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration with a Management Concentration from Western Washington University in 2017. I came to Seattle to make the best of a situation, but ended up chasing an opportunity instead. The dynamic team I’ve become a part of here at Seattle Promotional Management is helping me hit my personal, financial, and professional goals while also helping my develop and nurture my entrepreneurial spirit.
This team-based environment gives me the outlet I need for my leadership and team-building skills to expand, and incredible mentorship to help speed the process. I so look forward to my time with Seattle Promotional Management, because together we grow.
My name is Syamber. I am originally from Pasadena, California. I found this position after I graduated from college and I was intrigued by the quick growth and how the growth was based on how hard you worked. I graduated with a B.S. Kinesiology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2014. My favorite part of the company is being able to help people grow and to watch them get better and better everyday. My goals are to be able to use this position to learn how to develop and manage people so I can eventually open up my own Heath and wellness firm. As well as have a non-profit for young girls who need help with dressing and preparing professional interviews.
My name is Ted and I graduated from Central Washington University in 2018 with a major in Event Management. I’ve been with Seattle Promotional Management since the start of 2019. My favorite campaign has been Panda Pillows; it’s fun to interact with so many people so quickly with a fun product. However, Genze E-Bikes has been my most valuable experience. I was quickly sent down to California to work with them and struggled to reach the numbers I wanted to. That was when I actually saw that SPM will support me. The best advice I have ever received was from an internship during college: the 80/20 theory. The premise is that 20% of what happens in life I cannot control, but 80% is all based on my reactions. I have some habits that make me unique. I love to swing dance, and I also do live action role-playing!
Human Resources Administration
I love my position here at SPM! I am able to meet so many new people and have a large hand in growing the company. Since I was a child, I always knew I was meant to be in the world of business. My mom still jokes with me that she knew very early I was destined to be the boss of something. I genuinely love people and being able to further their careers while providing a guiding hand. Being the Executive Administrator, I am dedicated to making Seattle Promotional Management the place to be as well as growing our close-knit family.
Coming to SPM has inspired me to continue pursuing the business field. Since graduating from California State University, Sacramento with my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, I have started an MBA program through West Texas A&M University to further expand my business management and human resources skills which I am expected to graduate this year. Being a part of this family, I have found what I was really looking for: a place where I can grow myself but also propel others forward in finding their dream careers.
Human Resources and Recruiting Director
Lizzie graduated with a B.F.A. Theatre, Minor in Business from the University of Kansas in 2010. She started in the business in 2012 when her first office opened and since then, has overseen the growth of her organization several times over. Lizzie also specializes in the training and development of administrators in her division. She currently oversees all the human resources and recruiting efforts for offices in not only Seattle, Washington, but also territories throughout Southern California in Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego, Northern California in Sacramento as well as Las Vegas, Nevada.
I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in NYC and I went to the University of Montana for Business Communications and participated in a software development boot camp through the University of Washington. One of my short term goals is to begin creating my own team of people and to further my experience with training newcomers on how to be successful in this business. I have learned through my time at Seattle Promotional Management that self-discipline and accountability are imperative to succeed at SPM. A thirst for knowledge and a student mentality are necessary. Learning something new about myself every day excites me. You could say that the never-ending journey of growth and possibility is what motivates me and the aspirations to achieve my highest callings.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, Daniel brings a very goal-oriented mindset to the SPM team. His short-term goal is to support the team and quickly grow into a core leader in the office while his long-term goals include being an entrepreneur and creating his own business. Daniel believes that in order to succeed at SPM, an individual needs to have a vision, adaptability, and positivity. Since joining the team, he believes his student mentality helps him succeed as he is always learning and growing with the support of the SPM team. Daniel is motivated by his wife as well as his desire to create and manage his own business.
Fun fact: He grew up in Southern California and can’t surf.
After graduating from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Comparative History of Ideas, I joined up with the rest of the team here at Seattle Promotional Management. After growing up in Cle Elum, WA, I had to explore more of what the world offered here in Seattle, and I couldn’t be happier I did. I cannot wait to lead a team of my own in the short term, and l expand into my own office within the next year. For someone to do well while they are here, they will need to be dedicated and understanding that when working with people sometimes it takes more grit and determination than first realized. If you ever want to find me, just follow the sound of the guitar playing country music, it is my absolute favorite!
My name is Jacob and I believe that my student mentality is what will make me successful in my career. I am always eager to learn and take the new skills and information I have learned and put this into action. The positive culture in our office is super motivating and this atmosphere helps to keep me excited about coming into work each and every day. My colleagues and leaders push me to the top and they keep me striving for success! I can’t wait to see what SPM has in store for me this year.
My passion for sales and marketing as well as my goals of who I want to be and where I want to go in the future push me to be successful. My life goals motivate me every day. I grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and I can’t wait to learn all I can from the leadership at SPM! My long-term goal is to be head of the Marketing Department in an international company where the headquarters are in America. For example, Procter and Gamble and Johnson and Johnson. I previously managed my own portfolio of medical products. I supported scientific data and marketed medical products to potential hospitals nationwide in Thailand. I know my time with SPM will be filled with big wins and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Samantha is from Pennsylvania and studied at Slippery Rock University. Samantha’s background in hospitality and event management make her an absolute asset to the SPM team! Her short term goal is to learn as much as she can from Chris and the rest of the SPM leadership and ultimately she would love to run events for a professional sporting team. The office culture and work-family she has created at SPM are her driving force for her continued success.
Hi! My name is Suesun. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management in 2016. Living in one of the most popular entertainment & hospitable city, I have grown to love the business of people. Seattle Promotional Management further sparked my passion for building others and a company. It’s inspiring to be a part of a team who wants to see/guide someone be a better version of themselves! I am grateful for this opportunity. Furthermore, I am beyond enlighten to be involved of an upcoming, revolution of teammates & myself!
I was born in Albany, NY and was raised in Osan, Korea as well as El Paso, TX. My background is in business administration and I believe this will help me in my success with SPM! My short-term goals are always to finish the day progressing forward. Whether if it is to get in the gym in the day, managing schedule/plans, learning something new even on my free time, properly maintaining my diet with healthy meals, or just general chores. I never want to end the day doing absolutely nothing. My long-term goals are to finish what I started. I’m working towards a goal that one day I’ll know exactly what doing with whatever it is I’m doing and becoming an expert at it. It’s important that with me being in the position that I am in, not just as a Campaign Manager but also in my own personal life, someone who can be looked up to and relied on. I want to be a successful business owner, music producer, have a great network system, and be able to teach others what I have learned throughout my experience. After being at SPM for quite some time, I realize you need to have grit. You need to be able to find your rabbit before you can even chase it. Also, you need to be willing to change what is uncomfortable because that uncomfortable feeling shows in the day to day. I am motivated everyday but those around me and by knowing I can lead by example.
Client Representative Interns
Client Representative Intern
Currently pursuing a bachelors in advertising at WSU Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, Abby joins the SPM team as a Client Representative Intern. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Some of Abby’s short-term goals include gaining real world experience by learning from working professionals and beginning to train others. Abby’s long-term goal is the ability to understand how to run a business, and run one successfully. She has an incredible work ethic not only at SPM but also in her college studies. Abby believes a positive and student attitude to always be able to grow is necessary to succeed at SPM. One thing she has learned at SPM that she had not before is how to be able to talk to all different types of people and be able to understand the physiology of consumers. According to Abby, “The mentor and mentee aspect helps me succeed because I am taught by someone who was in my shoes.”
Abby says, “What I have gotten out of my experience with Seattle Promotional Management is the ability to grow and push myself with the help of mentors and leaders who have been in my shoes. The training I have received has given me the tools and a real world skill set that is applicable in daily life and in future endeavors. The training program at SPM has allowed me to see the ins and outs of the business world. My advice for people starting with SPM is to maximize their time here whether they are in a full time position or as an intern and to fully use the resources that SPM offers.”
Fun fact: Abby is always hungry.
Client Representative Intern
I was born and raised in Woodinville, Washington. I’m currently in the Honors College at Boise State University studying international business with minors in marketing and Spanish. My short term goals are to study abroad in Spain during my spring semester and graduate with honors in 2021. In the long term, I want to build a career in global marketing and international strategy. I started as an intern at SPM in June, 2019. To succeed at SPM, you need a positive attitude, student mentality, and strong work ethic. Working at SPM has challenged all three of these qualities for me, leaving me more positive, willing to learn, and harder working than before. My motivation stems from a desire for personal growth while pursuing the opportunity and privilege to teach others. When my time as an intern comes to an end, I hope to leave the office with a stronger team than when I started, replace myself, and allow the company to grow towards its goals.
